Back when it was released, this game was advertised as PC port of the console game, even with the same screenshots, but it's a totally different game. No open world, different story, different locomotion, different combat system, bad graphics. Compared to the XBox and PS2 version it's complete crap.

Spider-man 2 on the PSP isn't a straight up port of its big brother counterparts on the consoles; rather, it takes some of the worst elements from both titles and mashes them both into one mess.
The one thing that made the console version of Spider-Man 2 noteworthy was the open-ended experience. It borrowed a lot from the Grand Theft Auto 3 series since Spider-Man could swing around the city at will, and a lot of fun was derived from just zipping around the city as fast as a spider can. Instead, there really is no open city environment, and when you are swinging around out and about, it's done in a much more mundane fashion, with an invisible roof above your head like in the first Spider-Man.
It's a shame, because the simple joy of Spider-Man's spectacular abilities feel completely dumbed down in Spider-Man 2 PSP; there's no joy in swinging in the open environments and no fun reaped from crawling around in the enclosed spaces. Combat, likewise, feels like it was taken straight right out of Spider-Man 2 , which isn't inherently bad in itself; it's just that the awkward and unresponsive control ruins the flow of it all. The worst offender is the often-sluggish analog nub; it just doesn't work too well with the fast-paced action of the game.
The rest of Spider-Man 2 on the PSP, unfortunately, won't do much to sweep you off your feet since the level design, by and large, is mediocre and often aggravating. Spider-Man 2's strong point is that it looks and sounds nice. It holds a lot of similarities between its big brother console versions, though it doesn't manage to uproot the throne from them.
The animation looks smooth and the environments are solid, but there's a bit of ghosting when there's a lot of movement on screen, but that's more likely an inherent flaw of the PSP. Otherwise, ignore, abhor, and direct all your scorn towards Spider-Man 2 if you can. Browse games Game Portals.

The controls in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 are simple to master, especially if you played the first installment of the game. The left of the screen acts as joystick, allowing you to move Spidey in every direction, whereas the right side is used for looking around.
The jump button doubles-up as a web-slinging control , the mechanism by which you can fly atop the skyscrapers in the game, which is the easiest way to get around. It's great fun when you pull it off, but riding webs can take some getting used to, and changing direction while you're flying is particularly fiddly.
Fighting in The Amazing-Spider-Man 2 is based around three action buttons. You can use these to throw together combos to deadly effect, and new moves are constantly added as you power-up Spider-Man's skills.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is beautifully presented and has the feel of a classic console superhero title. Spider-Man himself is beautifully drawn and animated, whether he's soaring through the skies or socking it to bad guys.
Although not nearly as detailed on the ground as the Grand Theft Auto games, the version of New York in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is spectacular in its scale and variety. The cinematic musical score fits perfectly with the action, and the voice acting is a big improvement on the previous game. Spidey's off-the-cuff quips are very true to the quick-witted nature of the superhero, but his comments soon repeat to frequently and what was amusing quickly becomes annoying.
Performance in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 isn't perfect. Now Peter has some invincible powers and with this power. He will protect his city. There are a lot of other villains in this game which are quite remarkable. The game is totally based on the movie. But there are a lot of other surprising scenarios which you wont even guess. There are some fact which will only be known to the people who have also played the previous version The Amazing Spider Man.
The villains introduced in this game are new and are really amazing. Because of all the new costumes and appearances. This is a quite great game to keep your mind busy.
